Come and experience Latin America’s biggest and most famous culinary festival, Mistura 2017. You’ll experience the Grand Market, a space set aside for the farmers and producers who work with one of the world’s richest biodiversities. Sample the delights of the specialist bread, chocolate and pisco stalls. You’ll enjoy classes given by some of the world’s top chefs, take strolls through colonial Lima, and make an unforgettable visit to the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu.


Day 1: Arrival to Lima

You will be picked up at Jorge Chávez airport in Lima. Welcome to Peru! We will head to your hotel to check in and rest. Depending on the arrival time we will make a short tour of modern Lima, visiting Parque Kennedy in Miraflore, the ‘Calle de las Pizzas’ and other popular spots. We enjoy the traditional "Pisco Sour" as a welcome drink. Our guide will give us some information about our stay.

Day 2: Lima - Mistura

After the breakfast we will visit "la costa verde, magdalena del mar" where we will be present at the opening to the public of the International Fair of Lima "Mistura 2016".

Day 3: Lima - Mistura 

Breakfast. Transfer to Mistura to experience the big celebration in all its fullness.

Day 4: Lima - City Tour

Today we visit the city. We visit a market in which we will learn about the diversity of Peruvian products. Today we will visit the city and the market where we can see medicinal and aromatic herbs as well as fruits from the jungle, local coffee and wild mushrooms. In addition we will taste delicious vegetables fish and seafood. We go to a bookstore and buy cookery books and books of the history of Peru. Then we have the opportunity to get to know the colonial and modern Lima. First we visit the Plaza Mayor in the center and the Cathedral of Lima. We will also visit the "Casa de la Gastronomía Peruana". At the lunch buffet you can try many Peruvian delicacies. In the afternoon you have the option to try typical dishes like “anticuchos” (small pieces of grilled skewered meat) or picarones (dessert) in Miraflores. After that we go back to the hotel. Free time in the evening.

Day 5: Cusco

After breakfast we have the morning off. Later we will visit the city market where we can see medicinal and aromatic herbs as well as fruits from the high jungle, local coffee and wild mushrooms. We continue with a city tour, visiting the K’oricancha or Temple of the Sun - the most important Incan religious centre - and archeological sites including Kenco, Sacsayhuaman, Puca-Pucara y Tambomachay, absorbing something of the mystic tradition of the Incas in each site.

Day 6: Cuzco - Ollantaytambo - Sacred Valley

Today we visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, including the markets of Pisac, the towns of Calca, Yucay and Urubamba, and the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo, an important Incan administrative, religious and agricultural centre. We stay the night in our hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 7: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu

We take the trail towards the town of Aguas Calientes, located at the foot of Machu Picchu. Upon arriving, we take a bus up to the “Lost City of the Incas”, on eof th e7 wonders of the modern world. We spend about 3 hours exploring the ruins, while the guide explains the fascinating details of this unparalleled archeological complex. We spend the night in Aguas Calientes.

Day 8: Machu Picchu - Cuzco

Today is a good chance to gt up early, see the Sunrise and have a look around the town of Aguas Calientes. Later, there are opportunities for various activities. One of these is a trek to the waterfalls of Mandor. The falls are reached in 1 ½ hours by a trail that follows the railway lines alongside the rushing Vilcanota River. We can observe plantations of coffee, papaya, bananas, avocados and medicinal herbs. The waterfall is 20 metres high, and is formed by the crystal waters that descend from the peak of Mt Yanantin. We return to Cuzco by train and spend the night there.

Day 9: Cuzco

We have a day off to relax and enjoy Cuzco, the capital of the Incan Empire.

Day 10.: Cusco – Lima

We take a taxi to the airport from where a flight departs that connects with international flights from Lima. We wish you a pleasant journey and hope that you will remember this adventure for a long time.
